Just a quick comment about unschooling and Waldorf education. First let me say I am not an unschooler. But I want to mention that many Waldorf homeschoolers appreciate that we can do main lessons in the mornings and then our children still have time to explore their own interests. So in a way, there is time for both the structured, developmental approach of Waldorf main lessons along with free time for more open-ended explorations. And I’m so glad you brought up the comment that Steiner said, “All education is self-education.” One of my favorites.
